Promt: Where I Come From

I come from petticoats and battle-cries
I come from royals and peasants
Patriots and traitors -- fools and scholars
I come from words, and actions, and observances.
Dreams and aches and hungers.
I come from tortured souls and romanced tragedy
I come from .... more.

Physically, I come from stability --
warmth and faith and structured consistency.
more and less than who I am.
I come from satisfied comfort.

But me, I am bursting with not enough words
Too much passion and no adequate release
I come from lands I've dreamed and never seen
I come from people I've loved and never met
I come from stolen heartaches and borrowed dreams
Imagined tragedies and created triumphs
Anguish, torment, triumph, enchantment.

I come from inside myself -
passions, words, thoughts
I am building myself.

I come from me.

And I'm a hell of an architect.
